Technical specifications
Standard Polystyrene (PS) is a thermoplastic widely used for its stiffness, light weight and excellent surface finish. It is an amorphous material, suited to applications requiring dimensional accuracy, good aesthetic appearance and easy processing.
PS has a smooth, uniform surface with excellent visual quality, and is easily thermoformed, cut, bonded and machined. It has low moisture absorption and good dimensional stability in dry, controlled environments, as well as good electrical properties, making it suitable for insulating applications and lightweight components.
Advantages
PS offers an economical and efficient solution for applications that require a good visual finish, stiffness and ease of transformation.
High Rigidity & Dimensional Accuracy
Lightweight & Easy-to-Handle Material
Easy Thermoforming & Machining
Excellent Cost-Benefit
Usage Recommendations
• Store in a dry place, protected from moisture.
• Avoid applications with high impact or intense mechanical loads.
• Use tools suitable for cutting and light machining.
• Ideal for visual applications, packaging, displays and non-structural parts.
• For specific applications, consult the technical team.
