Technical specifications

PETG is a thermoplastic produced from glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate, resulting in transparent, homogeneous and high quality sheets. It offers a combination of transparency, impact resistance and versatility, allowing creative solutions with a demanding finish. Its excellent response to forming broadens the possibilities of application in projects that require complex shapes and a high level of detail.

The material has an approximate density of 1.27 g/cm³, combining light weight with suitable rigidity. It offers high transparency and good light transmission, with excellent visual fidelity.
PETG maintains stable thermal behaviour in an approximate range between –40 °C and 70 °C. It has good chemical resistance and low moisture absorption, making it suitable for indoor and protected outdoor applications.
It is compatible with laser cutting, CNC milling, hot bending, thermoforming, bonding and printing.

Advantages

PETG can be screwed, thermoformed, machined, painted, printed, vinyl-wrapped, polished and even cold bent in some thicknesses. It is a lightweight, non-toxic material; one of the few thermoplastics that shows no plastic memory after a compression bend.

Usage Recommendations

• Store the pieces in a covered, dry place and on flat surfaces.
• Avoid excessive stacking that could cause deformation.
• During transport, fully support the pieces to avoid bending and impacts.
• When thermoforming, respect the recommended temperature parameters.
• Use compatible fixing systems, allowing for thermal expansion.
• Cleaning should be carried out with water and neutral detergent, using soft cloths.
• Avoid solvents, abrasive products and stiff brushes.
