Technical specifications

They are manufactured from polycarbonate resins, a thermoplastic that can be moulded into different roofing geometries, with solid, multiwall and corrugated versions, according to the performance and aesthetic needs of the project.
Significantly lighter than glass or ceramic tiles, the approximate density of the material is 1.2 g/cm³, which results in a light and practical assembly for large areas.
The passage of natural light can vary according to the finish, with clear, translucent and opaque options, allowing adaptation to different levels of luminosity and privacy.
On roofs exposed to the sun, the pieces can receive UV radiation treatment, reducing weathering wear and preserving the properties of the material over time.
Polycarbonate maintains its performance across a wide thermal range, with a working range between –40 °C and 120 °C, and offers high impact resistance, making it suitable for regions at risk of hail, strong winds and intensive use.

Advantages

Polycarbonate Roofing Sheets combine mechanical strength and thermal stability, maintaining superior performance even under strong winds, hail and temperature variations.

The high transmission of natural light contributes to brighter environments and reduces the use of artificial lighting throughout the day. UV radiation protection preserves the material and supports an extended service life, even in outdoor areas.

Available in different formats and finishes, they serve everything from industrial and agricultural roofing to residential, commercial and sports projects.

Because they are recyclable, they also support construction solutions with lower environmental impact and a more balanced approach to the use of resources.

Usage Recommendations

• The pieces must be stored in a covered place, on a flat and clean surface, protected from direct sunlight before installation.
• Avoid excessive stacking that could cause deformation or permanent marks on the material.
• During transport, ensure that the sheets are fully supported, avoiding sharp curves and impacts.
• When installing, use fixing systems compatible with polycarbonate, respecting the spacing and clearances required for thermal expansion.
• The use of suitable washers, grommets and profiles is recommended to avoid cracks, leaks or localised stress.
• Periodic cleaning should be carried out with water and neutral detergent, removing dust, residues and contaminants that may reduce light transmission.
• Avoid the use of solvents, abrasive products, stiff brushes or high pressure equipment directly on the surface.
