It is made by mixing liquid Methyl Methacrylate with additives, pigments and catalysts that, when in contact with hot water, pass from liquid to solid state in a glass mold. Cast Acrylic Sheets have a higher resistance to crazing or cracking, a phenomenon that occurs when cracks appear inside the acrylic caused by the material tensioning beyond its capacity.
