HDPE

HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) is an engineered plastic whose main physical and chemical characteristics make it the best material for direct contact with natural and processed foods – but it can also be used in industrial applications requiring low friction and high chemical strength.

Advantages

Advantages

Its composition makes HDPE impervious to liquids and gases, with almost zero moisture absorption. Its very high chemical resistance is combined with its low coefficient of physical and electrical friction. It can also maintain its size when subjected to temperatures up to 120ºC.

Good electrical insulation

Application

The optimal plastic for the food industry.
The most common application is in the food industry, in household items, cutting and boning counters, and home food preparation tables. In other areas, it serves as a liner for silos and buckets, rails, nozzles, petrol pump housings, sliding guides, couplings, sealing rings, gaskets, bushings, bearings and washers.

Extra Information

Also being applied in water distribution networks and branches, as they are flexible, impact and tensile resistant, they allow installation through non-destructive systems, i.e., without trenching. This method provides more agility in the work and does not harm the environment.
